Donate monthly and become a champion
Right now in Australia more than 1.2 million young people are living in poverty. Many start school already behind and over the years, fall further behind. We need monthly donors to help children and young people like Lee create a better future.
When she started Year 10, Lee was at high risk of cutting her education short. Health challenges in primary school meant she missed many days while she was in hospital. By high school, she was so far behind it was hard for Lee to catch up, and this affected her motivation.
Her parents both left school before graduating so they hadn’t felt equipped to help Lee succeed at school. “I’ve struggled with maths since primary school. And then in high school I failed English because I was slacking off,” said Lee.
But then Lee joined one of our Learning Clubs and everything changed. Watch her video and hear how the support from our Champions helped turn things around.
Your monthly donation will provide

Without extra support, children in need remain stuck in a cycle of disadvantage that can continue for generations. Our Champions provide learning support and mentoring programs to help these children fit in at school, keep up with their peers, and create a better future for themselves. These programs include:
LEARNING CLUBS: provide a safe and supportive out-of-school learning environment where students can access expertise and resources to help them with homework.
STUDENT2STUDENT: an 18-week reading program that pairs students who are behind in their reading with trained buddies who work with them to build their skills and confidence.
iTRACK: an online mentoring program for students in Year 9 to 11 who are matched with a supportive adult (other than a teacher or parent) who mentors them and gives valuable guidance about study, workplace and career opportunities.
We know that this continual support throughout all stages of a child's education is the best way to help disadvantaged children create a better future for themselves.
Join our wonderful group of Champions by giving monthly and making a lasting difference.
